Iranian delegation visits Iraqi MoI

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An Iranian delegation discussed with Iraqi officials within the Interior Ministry facilitating traveling procedures and securing the roads between Iraq and Iran.

The Interior Ministry reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com that ”The Iranian delegation, which is headed by the Advisor of the Iranian President for pilgrimage affairs, Ahmed al-Musawi, held a meeting with the Interior Ministry Undersecretary Adnan al-Asadi,” noting that “The meeting focused on discussing the importance of developing the relations between the two countries and the files which contribute in promoting the security to the joint borders.”

The statement added that ”The meeting also included, discusions on speeding up the process of obtaining Visa and to avoid any unnecessary obstacles which can prevent developing tourism between Iraq and Iran.”

The Advisor of the Iranian President appreciated the good relations between Iraq and Iran, stressing that ”Iran supports Iraq in establishing its democratic government.”
