Iranian FM denies reports over conducting Iranian airstrikes in Iraq

Follow- Up (IraqiNews.com) Reliable source within the Iranian Foreign Affairs Ministry refuted the reports over conducting airstrikes by the Iranian Air Force against the shelters of the ISIL in Iraq, describing these reports as “groundless.”

The Iranian News Agency IRNA reported the source as saying “The recent statements of the assistant Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Ibrahim Rahim Pour over conducting air strikes in Iraq by the Iranian air force were falsified.”

He stressed “Pour said that Iran is ready to assist Iraq even in military field.”

Earlier, the Guardian Newspaper had reported Pour as saying “The Iranian air strikes against the ISIL in Iraq were meant to defend benefits of our friends in Iraq.” /End/
