Iranian official says 100 nationals detained in Iraq for illegal entry

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iranian hajj department official revealed that there are about 100 nationals detained in Iraq for illegal entry, adding he had talks with Iraqi officials to study their cases. “There are talks for two days now with Iraqi government officials over the cases of 100 Iranians remanded under custody in Iraq for violating Iraqi laws when they entered the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala for pilgrimage and religious visits,” Sayyed Akbari told IraqiNews.com.
