Iraq to receive remains of 200 Iran war troops

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi government agreed with Iran to exchange the remains of soldiers killed during 1980s war, a spokesman for the Iraqi government said on Friday. “Iraq will receive remains of 200 soldiers from the Iranian side by mid-November and hand over remains of 41 Iranian soldiers,” Ali al-Dabbagh told IraqiNews.com. “The Iraqi government reached this agreement with the Iranian side through Iraq’s Ministry of Human Rights,” Dabbagh said. “November 15, 2008 is an initial date set for the two sides to exchange soldier remains,” he said . “The Iraqi government will continue its efforts with the Iranian side in order to solve pending issues between the two countries, especially those involving human aspects,” he added .
