Iraq wants to hold security pact with Britain

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: President of Iraq, Jalal Talabani, on Saturday expressed Iraq’s intention to sign a security pact with Britain similar to the one proposed with the U.S., according to a presidential release. “Talabani today received the British ambassador in Iraq, and discussed the Iraqi-U.S. security pact with him, expressing Iraq’s intention to sign a similar agreement with Britain,” said the release that was received by IraqiNews.com. “They also discussed the latest political developments in Iraq, and methods to reinforce and develop mutual relations between the two countries,” it added.
