Iraqi Cabinet discusses General Budget, requesting amendments – Dabbagh

BAGHDAD/ IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Cabinet will make some amendments to the 2012 general budget, which was adopted by the Parliament, to preserve constitutional procedures, government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh announced today. In a statement issued by his office, received by IraqiNews.com, Dabbagh added that the Cabinet discussed today the general budget, where “some items were amended and added by the Parliament” which shall be reviewed to meet the legal and constitutional procedures. Last Thursday, the Iraqi Parliament endorsed the general budget of this year, after months of differences over its items. The budget reached 17.12 trillion Iraqi dinars, more than 97.6 billion dollars, with real income of 102.32 trillion Iraqi dinars, about 85 billion dollars, thus the deficit reached to 14.8 trillion Iraqi dinars.
