Iraqi embassy in Syria assures evacuating Iraqis from Syria

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi embassy to Syria assured the continuity in evacuating the Iraqis in Syria, calling to provide protection to it.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry cited “Due to the exceptional situation in Syria and to ensure the safe return of the Iraqis to Iraq, the Iraqi ambassador to Syria, Allaa al-Jawadi, has formed a special committee to follow up the current crisis an d the situation of the Iraqis in the Syrian hospitals who were injured by the terrorist attacks.”

“The committee has started its communications with the officials in Baghdad such as the Council of Ministers and the FM to facilitate evacuating the Iraqis from Syria and provide the safe atmosphere for them,” the statement added.

The statement requested the “International organizations and the Syrian authorities to protect the Iraqis in Syria.”
