Iraqi President Talabani issues order naming Abdul-Mahdi as his 1st Vice-President

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has issued a Presidential Decree, naming Adel Abdul-Mahdi, as his 1 st Vice-President, according to a Presidential statement on Thursday.   “The President of the Republic, Jalal Talabani, has issued a Presidential Decree, naming Adel Abdul-Mahdi, as 1 st Vice-President,” the statement, copy of which was received by IraqiNews.com news agency announced.   The Iraqi Parliament had issued a majority decision on 12/5/2011, naming Adel Abdul-Mahdi, Tareq al-Hashimy and Khudhier al-Khuza’e and Deputy-Presidents, in a so-called one-basket decision, considered by some observers as a “constitutional violation.”   SKH (ST) 646
