Iraqi Vice-President receives Egyptian Ambassador

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi discussed with the Egyptian ambassador bilateral relations and means of developing them following the changes that recently occurred in Egypt.  In a statement issued by al-Hashimi’s office, ambassador Shareef Sahaheen reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and the desire to develop and enhance them in future.  The ambassador stressed “the desire of the Egyptian leadership to open new horizons and cooperation in all fields with Iraq.”  Vice-President al-Hashimi extended congratulations for the changes, according to the statement, stressing “the Iraqi positive stand, as government and people, hoping Egypt stability and progress to resume its pioneering role in both the region and the world.”  RM (TS)/SR 430
