Iraqiya Alliance Legislature calls for withdrawing trust from PM Maliki

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A legislature of al-Iraqiya Alliance, led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, has called on Monday for the withdrawal of trust from current Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, describing it as a “constitutional measure,” stressing that the issue would be raised throughfinding a substitute for Maliki.”The issue of withdrawing trust from Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, is a constitutional measure that enters within the peaceful transfer of power and stemming from the Constitution and the Internal System of the Iraqi Parliament,” Legislature Haider al-Mulla told IraqiNews.com news agency.Al-Mulla said that “the case is still under discussion among different political blocs, and we shall raise it through looking for a substitute for Maliki and the typw of government demanded to be formed, because it is necessary to form a government that follows the complete withdrawal of the USforces from Iraq.”Meanwhile, al-Iraqiya Alliance had called Prime Minister Maliki to “build the State and not to create crisis, through directing charges against his partners in the political process, because the Iraqi people had lost patience due to those crisis he is creating,” according to al-Mulla.The Iraqi political arena is facing a huge crisis, in the background of the charges against Iraq’s Vice-President and al-Iraqiya’s outstanding leader, Tareq al-Hashimy with having been behind “terrorist” acts and a decision by the Judiciary to detain and investigate him, for such charges, alongwith a decision by Prime Minister Maliki to withdraw trust from his Deputy Prime Minister, Saleh al-Mutlaq, another al-Iraqiya leader. 817
