Iraq’s Parliament has not received demand by Prime Minister Maliki on cabinet’s trimming

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Parliament has not received a demand by Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, regarding the trimming down of the Cabinet, a Parliament source said on Saturday.   “The Parliament’s chairmanship has not received any demand by Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, till today (Saturday), calling for the trimming town of the Cabinet,” the Parliament source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Media sources said last Thursday that Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, had sent a demand to the Parliament regarding the Cabinet’s trimming, calling for trimming of the number of cabinet ministries, to reach 20 instead of its current number of 43 ministries.   SKH (PT)   362
