Iraq’s Parliament Speaker in Salahal-din Province to confer with its Council

SALAHAL-Din / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Parliament Speaker, Usama al-Nujeify, has arrived in Salahal-Din Province on Sunday, accompanied by Finance Minister, Raf’i’a al-Issawi, to confer with officials in the Province’s Council, a Province’s source reported.”The Parliament’s Speaker, Usama al-Nujeify, Finance Minister, Rafi’a al-Issawi and Members of Provinces Councils of Diyala, Kirkuk, Baghdad and Anbar, have arrived in Salahal-Din Province to confer with its officials and discuss the political and local issues, whilst Nujeify would open the new building of Salahal-Din Province’s Council,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.Nujeify,meanwhile, is expected to visit north Iraq’s Kurdistan Region to meet Iraqi President, Jalal Talabany and the Region’s President, MassoudBarzani, to discuss the current political crisis, according to a Region’s government source.Noteworthy is that Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, had confirmed in a meeting Saturday with Chieftains of Salahal-Din Province, that the “Federal system exists in the Constitution and the world, but the situation in Iraq is different,” adding that his government “is heading nowto increase the authorities of the the Provinces, whilst a number of Iraqi provinces have called in the past to build up their “Regions,” including Salahal-Din Province, calls of whom had created passive impacts by the government. 1066
