Iraq’s PM renews support for his candidate for Defense Minister’s post.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq ’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, on Wednesday renewed support for his candidate for the Defense Minister’s post, Saadoun al-Dulaimy, based on his experience in the military affairs.   “The Defense Minister’s post candidate, Saadoun al-Dulaimy, enjoys support by the National Coalition and the Kurdistan Coalition, because he has an experience in the military field,” Maliliki told a news conference, attended by IraqiNews.com news agency.   “The Defense Minister’s post is the right of the Sunni component and the Interior Minister’s post is the right of the Shiite component,” he said, adding that “the said right was transferred from the Sunni component to al-Iraqiya List, whilst it was transferred to the compromise front and then to the person of the leader of al-Iraqiya Coalition, Iyad Allawi.”   SKH (ST) 731
