Iraq’s Prime Minister calls for development of joint cooperation between Iraq – Finl –

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has received in his office in Baghdad on Wednesday Finland’s Minister for Foreign Trade & Development, Yafu Vironin and his accompanying delegation, now on an official visit for Iraq, calling him to develop bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Finland, according to a statement by Maliki’s office.   “Maliki has reiterated necessity for activating the Joint Committee between both sides, highlighting Finland ’s positive positions in support of Iraq , especially in the issue of credits, calling for the development of bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Finland on all levels,” the statement affirmed.   “The Prime Minister has reiterated that all chances are open before the companies of Finland to invest and work in Iraq ,” the statement stressed.   The visiting Minister, on his part, had expressed his country’s keenness to “activate the joint committee, in order to boost the horizons of cooperation between both countries,” pointing out to the “wish of the his country’s companies to act and invest in the Iraqi market, especially in the field of communications and agricultural mechanism.”   “The delegation is expected to hold further meetings with Iraqi officials in the fields of agriculture, oil, industry, communications and investment,” the statement said.   The meeting was attended by Iraq ’s Trade Minister, Kheirullah Babakr and the Chairman of the National Commission for Investment, Sami al-Aaraji, it concluded.   SKH (IT)   770
