IS condemns defaming campaigns against its political figures

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqiya Slate condemned the political defaming campaign, led by known sides, against national figures who fought the former regime.

The spokesperson of the Iraqiya Slate, Maysoun al-Damaluji, stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday “Issuing judicial warrants against some of the MPs of the Iraqiya Slate is groundless.”

“The parliamentary Integrity Committee assured to the IS that these reports are groundless and MP, Falah al-Naqib, the former Interior Minister, is not wanted but he is called by the judicial sides as a witness,” she added.

“Regarding MP, Abdul Allah al-Jouburi, where the judicially wanted individual is the former Governor of Diyala and not MP, Jouburi but they have the same names,” she pointed out.

“Both Naqib and Jouburi are nominated for the Defense Minister Post where the defaming campaigns aim to make the security ministries out of ministers,” she concluded.
