Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqiya Slate condemned the first stance of the Iraqi Government towards the Syrian refugees when it refused to receive them at the beginning in Iraq, stressing its determination to “put an end to the monopolization approach in the management of affairs in the country.”

A statement by the political committee of the IS received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited Tuesday “During its meeting of Tuesday, the committee condemned the government’s first position which prevented the entry of Syrian refugees to Iraqi territories,” considering that “It is legitimate and humanitarian imperative for Iraq to grant asylum to the Syrian refugees.”

“The meeting insists on the adoption of democratic and constitutional means to put an end to the monopolization approach in the administration of the country,” stressing that “The meeting discussed a number of laws proposed in parliament, especially the law draft of the Federal Court, the law draft of Political Parties and speeding up the choosing of new members of the Independent High Electoral Commission on bases of integrity and experience.”
