The head of the IS in the parliament, Salman al-Jumaili, stated to IraqiNews.com “We did not receive a message from the meeting of Jaafary, Maliki and Hakim,” noting that “We overcame the issue of collecting signatures for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the parliament will witness the democratic process to hand over the authority peacefully.”

Earlier, the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary, the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki and the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, held a meeting in the office of the INA to discuss their attitudes towards the political crisis and the latest updates of the political process.
