IS MP calls to grant full authorities to provinces

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Intisar al-Jobouri, called the Federal Government to grant complete authorities to the provinces.

She stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Provincial Councils are unable to provide the services that the provinces need and we always call to adhere to the non-central system,” noting that “The Ministries imposes some restrictions while dealing with the provinces that affect the services provided.”

“The parliament amended the law draft related to this issue and granted many authorities to the provinces, but the Council of Ministers contested it and we are still waiting the response of the Federal Court over the contestation,” she concluded.
