Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Wihda al-Jumaili, of the Iraqiya Slate criticized the presence of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, in the parliament session held on Saturday to discuss the infrastructure law draft.

Jumaili held a press conference in the parliament building where she said “We are surprised over Maliki’s instance over discussing the infrastructure law draft not other important law drafts such as the general amnesty law draft or discussing the security situation in Iraq where the infrastructure law draft could be discussed by the Finance and Planning Ministries.”

“This insistence is to make the MPs witness the consequences of the corruption caused by this law draft,” she added.

Earlier, the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, has attended the parliament session to discuss the infrastructure law draft where he expressed his surprise over the objection of some blocs over this law draft, but he confessed about the corruption in this law draft.
