IS to hold meeting over Infrastructure Law Monday evening

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqiya Slate will hold a meeting to discuss the Infrastructure Law on Monday evening.

MP, Mohamed al-Karbouli, of the IS stated to IraqiNews.com “The IS will hold the meeting to discuss the Infrastructure Law and the other law drafts that the parliament will vote on during the Tuesday session in addition to reviewing the political updates.”

“It is necessary to endorse the important laws that serve the citizens like the Infrastructure Law and the General Amnesty Law,” he added.

“The State of Law Coalition and the Kurdistani Alliance will hold similar meetings to discuss the laws that will discuss during Tuesday session,” he concluded.

Earlier, the head of the Iraqiya Slate set five conditions to support the endorsement of the Infrastructure Law by his Slate.

In a press statement, he assured “The first condition in to implement the projects under the supervision of the parliament, second is to sustain the transparency and the supervision, third is to clarify the priorities of the projects, fourth adopting supervision of the Integrity Committee and the fifth is that the final decision will be made by the parliament.”

The parliament postponed its last Monday session to next Tuesday due to disputes over the Infrastructure Law which was objected by the Iraqiya Slate and the Kurdistani Alliance.
