ISFC constrains Parliament to increase female members of SCHR

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Supreme Federal Court issued a judgment to constrain the Parliament to increase the number of female members of the Supreme Commission for Human Rights to be one-third.

A statement by the Judiciary cited on Wednesday “The Supreme Federal Court issued a resolution to constrain the Paliament Charmanship to increase the number of women members of the SCHR by the third of the total number.”

The Parliament has voted on the members of the SCHR, on its 34th session on April 9th, by majority on appointing (15) members.
