iya legislatures, ministers facing threats – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A legislature from al-Iraqiya Bloc, Wihda al-Jumeily, has said on Tuesday that the Legislatures and Ministers, representing her Alliance have been facing “many threats”. “Al-Iraqiya’s Legislatures and its Ministers have been exposed to many threats, among them a warning, issued by the Council of Ministers Secretary-General, Ali al-Allaq, to al-Iraqiya Ministers noting if they insist on not attending the Council’s meetings, they will be replaced by other ministers, on an acting basis,” Jumeily told IraqiNews.com news agency. Jumeily described the warning as “a violation of everything standing counter to the Council’s internal system, which does not exist”. “The issue of sacking cabinet ministers is related to the Parliament and not the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Ali al-Allaq, or the person of Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki,” she added. “We shall continue our suspension to attend the Council of Ministers meetings and the Parliament meetings till the time when the wise-men would take into consideration the conditions, set by al-Iraqiya Alliance, for its return to attend those meetings,” Jueily added. 495
