Jobouri: Press Freedom Law to be activated soon

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the State of Law Coalition, Haytham al-Jobouri, announced that the press freedom is granted by the Iraqi constitution.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The parliament will seek issuing a resolution to oblige the government to activate the Press Freedom Law,” noting that “The parliament will have a hotline with the journalists who are subject to arrest by security forces.”

“The new Iraq depends on the journalists as the partners in fighting corruption,” he concluded.
