Jordan’s Prime Minister to visit Iraq Wednesday, official says

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Jordan ’s Prime Minister, Maarouf al-Bukhit, shall visit Baghdad on Wednesday, leading an official delegation, scheduled to activate the joint agreement between Iraq and Jordan , the Official Spokesman for the Iraqi Government said on Monday.   “The Jordanian Prime Minister, Maarouf al-Bukhit, shall visit Baghdad on Wednesday, leading an official delegation, in the aim of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two sisterly countries and to discuss means to activate the joint agreements between Iraq and Jordan ,” Ali al-Dabbagh told IraqiNews.com news agency.   “Both countries are looking forward for stronger bilateral relations, and we welcome the visit of Prime Minister Bukhit, who shall discuss the activation of the agreements, concluded between both countries and carry out a general revision, to give the relations a strong push,” Dabbagh said, adding that “there is a joint vision for economic coordination in the Region, thing that shall serve the joint interest of both peoples.”   Dabbagh, meanwhile, spoke about an expected visit by Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, for Lebanon, saying that “Lebanon’s Prime Minister, Najib Miqaty, had addressed an invitation for Prime Minister Maliki to visit Lebanon, but the time of the visit was not defined yet,” adding that a suitable time would be decided later.   SKH (IT)
