Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parliamentary bloc of the Iraqiya Slate, Salman al-Jumaili, denied alleged statement attributed to him by some media outlets that quoted him as saying “The Turkish Government expressed its readiness to correct the political process in Iraq as it supported the Syrian opposition.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “These statement are groundless,” criticizing “The electronic websites that promote false statements.”

“These statements come within the course of the attempts that target the national political figures that have clear stances concerning the national cases,” he concluded.

Earlier, some media outlets quoted Jumaili as saying “My visit to turkey came to continue the efforts which aim at consolidating the diplomatic strategic relations between the two countries.”

He added “The Turkish Government expressed its genuine desire to help the Iraqi political sides to accomplish the interests of all the Iraqi communities.”

“The Turkish officials revealed their concerns over the future of the democracy in Iraq under the monopolizing policy of the one party,” he mentioned.

“The Turkish Government confirmed readiness to participate in correcting the political process in Iraq similar to its support for the Syrian liberal opposition,” he concluded.
