KA: “Political reforms document late step”

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistani Alliance described the political reforms paper of the Iraqi National Alliance as “a late step.”

The spokesman of the Kurdistani Alliance MP Moayed al-Tayeb told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) that “What had been announced by the INA and the State of Law Coalition of their intention to conduct political reforms and show willingness to resolving some outstanding issues is a late step which we wished to have before our decision to resort to the option of investigating the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to withdraw confidence from him.”

He added “We ask if the head of executive, regardless his character or his name, whether Maliki or others, either now or in the future, has the right to refuses the request of the parliament which represents the Iraqi people, to attend for investigation,” noting that “We, today, have to settle this issue before anything else.”
