KA reveals candidates for provincial elections in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Kurdistan Alliance (KA) slate on Saturday and in a celebration in Baghdad revealed names of their candidates who will join upcoming elections for Baghdad provincial council that will take place by the end of January 2009. “Six Kurdish parties will join the elections through one slate that carries the number 439 and in 57 polling centers in Baghdad,” a Kurdish source told IraqiNews.com. “46 candidates are included in the slate,” he said. “The slate aims at transferring Kurdistan experience in security and construction to Baghdad,” he added.
