Khuzayi, Salih discuss political updates

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Vice-President, Khudair al-Khuzayi, and the Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Salih, discussed the political updates in addition to the issue of holding a meeting among the political leaders to solve the pending issues between the Federal Government and Kurdistani Regional Government after the return of the President, Jalal Talabani, to the country.

A statement by Khuzayi’s office received by IraqiNews.com “Khuzayi received Salih at his office in Baghdad as they tackled the prominent regional political developments.”

“Both sides agreed to resort to the constitution as the authority according to which the problems to be settled,” the statement added.

“They stressed the dialogues and to avoid the media escalation to consolidate the interests of Iraq,” the statement concluded.

Earlier, the former Prime Minister, of Kurdistani Regional Government and the Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Salih arrived in Baghdad on Sunday.
