Kirkuk attack aims to “implode” political process – PUK

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A senior official of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), headed by Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, on Friday said that Thursday’s suicide attack in Kirkuk aimed to “implode” the political process after the dialogue and understanding reached in the city by all groups there. “Terrorist groups seek to destroy the political process,” Azad Jindiniani told IraqiNews.com. “We are very sorry that casualties included women and kids,” he added. The blast that ripped through a restaurant north of Kirkuk city yesterday left 47 dead and 100 others wounded persons, according to a local police source. MH (P)/AmR 1
