Kobler arrives at Kirkuk

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Special Representative of UN Secretary General for Iraq, Martin Kobler arrived to Kirkuk province on Tuesday morning.

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan cited that “Shortly after arriving to Kirkuk, Kobler met with the head of Kirkuk Provincial Council, Hassan Toran.”

“It is scheduled that Kobler, head of UN Assistance Mission to Iraq (UNAMI) to meet, later on, with Kirkuk Governor, Najm al-Din Karim besides other officials there,” the statement added.

It is expected that he will discuss with the officials in the province, the (Article No. 140) of the Iraqi Constitution, as well as the next local elections of the province.
