Kobler calls to sustain self-control concerning Hawija events

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG), Martin Kobler, assured that he is following up the situation in Hawija closely as he keeps on his contacts with the concerned sides.

A statement by the UN Assistance Mission to Iraq, UNAMI, received by IraqiNews.com quoted Kobler as saying “I urge the security forces to sustain the highest level of self-control while preserving the laws and I call the demonstrators to keep on the peaceful nature of their demonstrations.”

Kobler called to hand over the figures responsible for the death of civilians and security elements to justice, according to the statement.
