 Kurdistan Region describes talks with parliamentary committee over exporting oil to Turkey as Positive

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of the Natural Resources in Kurdistan Region described the talks with the parliamentary committee over exporting the oil to Turkey as “Positive”.

A statement by the government of Kurdistan Region received by IraqiNews.com quoted the advisor of the ministry, Sirwan Abu Bakir, as saying “The parliamentary delegation that visited Kurdistan Region during the last two days, has finished talks with the officials of the ministry and returned to Baghdad to meet the officials of the Oil Ministry in Baghdad.”

“The ministry informed the delegation about all the details related to the oil policy and assured that the oil contracts signed are not violating the constitution in addition to showing our stance over the oil disputes with the Federal Government,” he added.

“The talks were positive and held in a good atmosphere with flexibility where the delegation expressed their satisfaction during their visit to the electric station in Bir Dawood area in Erbil province and the oil refinery in Khabat district,” he pointed out, assuring that “We are waiting to hear back for the Federal Government in order to settle the oil disputes between the two sides.”
