Kurd MPs defend arrest campaign in Kirkuk

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistani Alliance’s MPs confirmed legality of the arrest campaigns launched in Kirkuk province.

MP Khalid Shiwani of the KA said in a press conference held with other KA MPs at the Parliament building and was attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com on Thursday “The detention campaign in Kirkuk which is criticized by the Arab MPs of Kirkuk are legal and were conducted according to judicial arrest warrants against suspects of benign members of terrorist groups such Qaeda Organization and others,” noting that “Those who criticize the security forces and demand to stop those campaigns should expose and fight the terrorist groups which publically move in Hawija district and Abbasiya area of western Kirkuk.”

“Who seeks peace and security in Kirkuk should not stand against arrest cases in the province,” added.
