Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Firhad al-Atroushi, of the Kurdistani Alliance ruled out holding the national meeting to settle the political crisis in Iraq.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “In fact we do not think that the national meeting will be held soon with respect to all the political blocs that call for dialogue, because the situation is ambiguous and the sides of the Iraqi National Alliance that adopted the reforms proposal are disputed upon it, so it will not be discussed with the other blocs or the governmental institutions.”

“The national meeting, if held, will be for calming down the political sides and the political blocs will discuss their demands, but the crisis will remain and the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, will stay in his post where this is unacceptable,” he added.

“We also think that there are no real intentions to achieve the reforms and to approve this, the Sadr Trend says that the reforms proposal is to waste time only,” he concluded.
