Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Firhad al-Atroshi, of the Kurdistani Alliance described the recent activities of the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, for being the sponsor to some projects as “an attempt to keep People’s attention away of the political crisis.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The rounds of the oil licenses, Besmaya residence project and holding the session of the Council of Ministers in Nineveh are attempts from Maliki to keep the attention away from the political crisis.”

“These attempts are well known to all the Iraqi people,” he added, noting that “Maliki wants to show that he is still powerful and can serve the citizens.”

“The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, wants to fix the political process by holding the meetings because it can not be endured any more,” he concluded.
