Kurdish MP praises Maliki’s initiative to contact other blocs

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hassan Jihad, of the Kurdistani Alliance expressed his support to the calls that request the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to contact the other political blocs to settle the disputes.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “We called for the same initiatives because they are useful for the government and the political process.”

“Maliki’s initiative to contact the other leaders of the political blocs is normal because he represents the Executive Authority and he needs to do this initiative because we are in a democratic country,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called Maliki in his speech on last Wednesday to conduct dialogue with all political blocs in order to settle the disputes and this will be historically mentioned that he conducted initiatives to settle the political crisis.
