Kurdish MP stresses importance of practicing democratic right to investigate Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahdi Haji, of the Kurdistani Alliance stressed that the KA does not care about the person who will investigate the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, but it cares about practicing its democratic right in conduct the investigation. ”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “We were not informed by the name of the investigating person to Maliki and we care only to conduct our democratic right to conduct the investigation.”

“The issues that Maliki will be investigated for are related to providing services to the citizens and Maliki’s failure to apply Erbil agreement in addition to the constitutional deals,” he added.

He stressed the necessity of “Investigating Maliki in order to investigate other ministers and key officials after him to eliminate the corruption in the government.”
