Kurdistan Alliance to nominate Roz Nouri Shawes for Deputy PM post

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The leader in the Kurdistan Alliance, Fuad Maasoum, has announced on Saturday that his Alliance will nominate Roz Nouri Shawes for the post of deputy prime minister in the new Iraqi cabinet, pointing out that the Coalition’s leadership would convene in Arbil on Sunday to discuss its participation in the cabinet. “The Kurdistan Alliance shall nominate Dr. Nouri Shawes for the post of deputy prime minister,” Maasoum told IraqiNews.com news agency. Before heading to Baghdad from Arbil, Maasoum added that his Alliance “is keen to have leading posts in the cabinet, according to its electorate rights,” “The Coalition believes that Hoshiar Zibary had been a successful foreign minister,” he said. The Arab League’s Secretary-General announced recently that “it is in the League’s interest to nominate Zibary as his successor, after his retirement, an evidence that must be taken into consideration regarding Zibari’s potential to represent Iraq in the Arab and international circles, along with his regional relations.” SKH/SR 2
