Kurds warn from battles between IA, Peshmerga elements

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistani Alliance and the Change bloc warned from expected battles between the Iraqi army and the Peshmerga elements when the IA units entered the disputed areas.

A statement by the Kurdistani blocs and the Change bloc recited by the spokesperson of the KA, Moayed al-Tayib, cited “While the Iraqi people are waiting for the success of the political efforts for reaching a settlement over the disputed areas, the Iraqi forces, ordered by high Command, have moved to enter Zamari district which is protected by the Peshmerga elements.”

“The movement of the IA without the coordination between Baghdad and Erbil will result in bad effects unless settled as soon as possible because only few meters are separating the two forces,” he added.

“The new Iraq and the constitution do not allow using the weapons in the political disputes where it will be the end of peace and threatens the Iraqi unity and its people,” he concluded.
