Laban calls officials to verify continuity of paying VP Hashimi’s salary

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Sadiq al-Laban of the State of Law Coalition called the Iraqi Government to take measures about the reports over the continuity of paying the salary of the fugitive Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi who was sentenced to death in absentia.

Laban stated to IraqiNews.com “The officials within the Government must take quick measures to verify the truth of the information that reported the continuity of paying the salary to the judicially wanted Hashimi.”

SLC’s MP stressed that “I am determined to raise this issue in the Parliament to take the legal procedures in this respect.”

Some reports referred, earlier, that the fugitive VP Hashimi is still receiving his monthly salary despite issuing the death penalty verdict against him.
