Mahmoud Abbas in Kurdistan

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday arrived in the capital city of Iraq’s Kurdistan and met with the region’s president and prime minister. On Sunday (April 5), Abbas arrived in Iraq on a one-day official visit- the first by a Palestinian official since 2003, and met with President Jalal al-Talabani, his deputies, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and several other officials.
