Maliki cannot unilaterally take decisions – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A National Alliance MP regarded the threat of Iraqiya Bloc to withdraw from the government as “a form of pressure to yield to its demands, adding that Premier Nouri al-Maliki is unable to take the decisions unilaterally.   Iraqiyah spokeswoman Maysoun al-Damalouji stated to IraqiNews.com today that its coalition “threatens to withdraw confidence from the present government and make early elections in case the national partnership is not achieved”.   MP Batoul Farouq told IraqiNews.com that “Iraqiyah coalition threatened more than once to withdraw confidence as a pressure, which is false, because they cannot do that in the presence of other entities”.   She charged al-Iraqiya Bloc of wanting to add new terms to Arbil agreement, but not implementing it.   Kurdistan President Masoud Barzani made an initiative on 16 September last to form 8-12-man committee to start talks to solve pending differences and discuss the formation of the national partnership government.
