Maliki: Government to adhere to all demonstrators’ demands

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, assured that the Ministerial Committee tasked to follow up the demonstrators’ demands has achieved advanced step in its task.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Friday quoted him, as saying “The Council of Ministers, in each meeting, discusses the reports of the Ministerial Committee and there is an advanced progress in the task of the Committee,” noting that “The results of the Committee are clear and the government will respond to all the demonstrators’ demands.”

“The Iraqis shared intimacy and brotherhood away from sectarianism where we are sure that the demonstrators themselves share the same,” he pointed out, assuring that “Some of the demands can be done by the government to serve the citizens because they have no foreign agendas and do not want to cancel the constitution.”

“The legitimate demands will be responded to in case the demonstrators be patient and adhere to the law,” he concluded.
