Maliki meets Ali Khamenei in Tehran

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Monday held in Tehran a meeting with Iran‘s Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, according to Mehr news agency. “Khamenei said it is extremely important that Iraq immediately establish a new government and promote security in the country,” the news agency reported. Al-Maliki had arrived in Tehran earlier on an official one-day visit to Iran to meet with senior Iranian officials on ways to boost bilateral relations and to discuss regional and international issues of common concern.
