Maliki meets Thi Qar province delegation

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Premier Nouri al-Maliki received today a delegation from Thi Qar province to discuss matters pertaining to the province and its need for services and electricity. In a statement issued by the premier’s office, discussions were held to cover the needs of the province for services and electricity, and the governmental efforts to minimize the agony of the people there, as well as the obstacles facing the ministries within the limits of funds allocations of the general budget. Premier Maliki stressed, according to the statement, that “the political stability is the base for building the state. The damages of the previous regime in the infrastructures necessitate time and funds in order to provide the necessary services for our people.” RM (TP)/SR 442
