Maliki’s Advisor: political disputes behind delay of endorsing CoM bylaw

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The legal Advisor of the Premier, Mohamed Fadhil, attributed “The delay in endorsing the bylaw of the Council of Ministers to the disputes over the authorities of the Deputies Prime Minister.”

Fadhil stated to IraqiNews.com “The disputes concerning the bylaw related to the Constitutional articel that is over to the authorization of the Deputies PM,” noting that “No compromises were reached till now in this regard.”

He added “The bylaw was presented to members of the CoM based on the legal and Constitutional contexts but it was not endorsed due to the disagreements among the political blocs including the Iraqiya Slate, on some of its items.”

It is worth to mention that the bylaw of the CoM is one of the pending issues among the political blocs where the IS demands to identify the authorities of the Premier according to the Constitution and regulating the work of the ministerial committees.
