Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Iraqiya Slate described “The approval of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, for the resignation of the Minister of the Telecommunications, Mohamed Allawi, is illegal.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The resignation is a normal administrative problem between the Premier and one of his Ministers but Allawi’s resignation was conditioned so I think it is illegal to accept it.”

Over the IS intended meeting concerning this issue, he said “The IS leaders will hold a meeting to take a firm stance towards such illegal procedures.”

Earlier, the Minister of State for Provinces Affairs announced that he assumed the post of the Acting Minister of Telecommunications after approving the resignation of the Minister of Telecommunication, Mohamed Allawi, by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “I was tasked to assume this post after approving Allawi’s resignation by Maliki,” noting that “We will deal with the defects which accompany the performance of the Ministry till the nomination of the new Minister of Telecommunication.”

“I have received the official document from the Premier office over this task on Monday,” he added.

“Such procedure is a normal by the cabinet to avoid keeping the Ministry without Minister,” he stressed.

The Iraqi National Accord Movement headed by, Ayad Allawi, attributed “The resignation of the Telecommunication Minister, Mohamed Allawi, who is a member in the INAM, to the marginalization of his role in the Ministry.”

“Marginalization of Allawi’s role and neglecting his decisions were behind his resignation which comes to avoid the responsibility of the wrong decisions which are issued by other sides within the Ministry,” he concluded.

The Ministry of Telecommunications denied “The reports over submitting Allawi’s resignation to the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

Some media outlets indicated that Allawi submitted his resignation to Maliki earlier.
