Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The office of the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, denied the statements attributed to Maliki by Iranian Mehr News Agency over Mecca Summit.

The Media Advisor of Maliki, Ali al-Mosawi, stated “Mehr News Agency attributed to Maliki some statements over Mecca Summit,” noting that “Those statements are groundless where the Iftar banquet was not held at all and the statements were not stated against the Islamic Conference.”

“We deny these reports and will judge that news agency and any other agency supported this statement,” he added.

“The Iraqi stance is clear which is to support the peaceful solutions to make all the people, including the Syrian people, achieve their legitimate demands and rejects the violence because it leads to the destruction and not the required change,” he concluded. /End
