Mashhadani, Ahrar bloc discuss political situation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The former Speaker, Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, and delegation of Ahrar bloc discussed the political situation.

A statement by Mashhadani’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Mashhadani received Ahrar bloc delegation headed by Baha al-Araji, on last Tuesday,” noting that “Both sides discussed the means of reaching satisfactory solutions for the political disputes.”

“Mashhadani reviewed the regional political updates of the neighboring countries especially Syria in addition to the way of protecting Iraq from their consequences,” the statement added.

“The delegation expressed its desire to know Mashhadani’s views because he is a prominent figure in the political process,” the statement continued.

“The delegation involved four MPs from Ahrar bloc beside Araji,” the statement concluded.
