Mayahi calls political leaders to avoid media escalation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Mayahi, of the White bloc called the political leaders to conduct reasonable statements through the media outlets and avoid medial escalation coinciding with the Arab Summit.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he stated “If there are disputes and troubles that hurdle the political process, the constitution will put an end for them. Adhering to the constitution was the best way in dealing with the disputes rather than the

media escalation.”

“The policy of creating crises through the media outlets will affect the citizens only who are waiting the politicians to provide services instead of the conflict,” he added, noting that “Some parts made the Arab Summit as an issue that they can make deals over and mentioning its failure in order to create the political crises.”

He stressed the necessity to “Conduct national statements out of the sectarian and political purposes.”

Recently, the relations between the State of Law Coalition and the Kurdistani Alliance witnessed some tensions as the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, in his speech at the Second National Conference for the Kurdistani Youth held in Erbil on Thursday, said “We will not hand over VP Hashimi because he came to Kurdistan Region to meet with the President Talabani,” calling “to settle his case through the three presidencies.”
